My fourth and final studio recommendation is Brickhouse. They are located in the heart of Times Square and brand themselves as New York City’s Premiere Urban Dance training studio. You’ll love their fresh perspective on movement!
Brickhouse
Studio 4 – Brickhouse: Brickhouse NYC is a newer studio, and their classes focus mainly on street styles. They generally offer less open classes per day, due to their focus on their professional company.
Levels: The studio offers a range of street styles from freestyle, popping, street jazz, heels, choreography, contemporary, and more. Level-wise, most of their classes are for advanced students, other than the Intro classes.
Their faculty is wonderful, and they bring in some of the industry’s best choreographers.
If you are looking for a street style choreography class with a feminine twist, check out Pauline Casino’s class at Brickhouse. Her bubbly personality makes class very entertaining and enjoyable, and her choreography is super fun to do!
For the occasional contemporary class at Brickhouse, I cannot recommend Alexa Luke enough. Her choreography feels grounded and her movement choices are beautiful. If you are looking for a feel-good or emotional class, try to make it to hers.
